RETURN and EXCHANGE POLICY

Exchanges and Faulty Goods – The Consumer Guarantee Act and Fair Trading Act provide the basis for Cycle Nation’s returns policy. The returned product can be exchanged for another size or store credit (helmets can be refunded), however it must be in a re-salable condition as stated below unless faulty or otherwise defective.

For change-of-mind returns, please send the product back to us in its original packaging with all tags attached within 14 days, for a swap, store credit or refund. Products must be in original saleable condition, with original display box/packaging/cardboard backing and free of any marks, food smells, perfumes, pet hair or deodorant.

NOTE: Bicycle parts (incl. but not limited to: cassettes/chains/suspension nuts and bolts/brake pads/shifters/levers/seatpost cartridges/stems etc) can only be returned for a refund if they have NOT been installed. If we suspect the part has been installed, we will return it back to you without a refund. We can accept returns back if the bag/box has carefully been opened but please return this also so we can identify the product. If the box/bag is not in a re-saleable condition we cannot accept a refund.

The customer must cover their cost of returning the item back to Cycle Nation, but your swapped item will be sent with no extra shipping fee if your purchase price met our free shipping threshold with your original purchase. If not, an additional shipping fee will be charged upon sending the swapped item out.

No exchanges or credits for electronics** will be accepted unless the box has not been opened.
**Electronics: (including but not limited to computers/headphones/watches/sensors/lights/powermeters)

We are unable to accept returns/exchanges of CLEARANCE items unless covered under the Consumers Guarantees Act 1993. These clearance items are purchased at the customers risk (although are usually at a great price that is worth the risk!)
Note: Any item with the word “Clearance” on either the product title or size/varient is classed as Clearance and cannot be returned for change of mind or if it doesnt fit. Other items on “sale” without the word “clearance” can be returned and exchanged unless otherwise stated.

We strongly advise you to check your product as soon as you receive it before removing any tags or labels. If you have any concerns with your item, or have been supplied the wrong item please contact us first at sales@cyclenation.co.nz or on 06-877-6254 and we can advise you of the returning procedure.

WARRANTIES
All goods supplied by Cycle Nation are covered by the normal manufacturers’ warranty. This will differ between brands.

If you think an item has failed prematurely please email us to discuss details of the product and fault. Please note that certain products need to be returned to our suppliers, for inspection before an outcome can be determined and this may take up to 6 weeks to process. We endeavor to fast-track all warranty claims to the best of our ability.

Cycle Nation is not directly liable under any warranty. The benefit of the warranty passes directly from the manufacturer to the customer, however we will do our best to aid in the warranty claim process.

Where goods are subject to warranty, the customer is responsible for returning the item to Cycle Nation or the manufacturer (as provided by the warranty) and you may be responsible for additional costs including (but not limited to) freight.

Any warranty will be voided by damage to or misuse of the product or problems caused by inadequate packaging or storage.

Proof of purchase is required. Please provide your order number and/or invocie number, we will check our sales system for your sale prior to accepting your claim. We will not accept warranty claims on behalf of other shops unless organised with the manufacturer.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Cyclenation. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
Fair Trading Act 1986 The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.
